Heatwave

We are at the tail end (hopefully) of a horrible heat wave, where temperatures hit 40C (104F) several days in a row. There's supposed to be a cool change later today... here's hoping. It's been awful and most people I see on the street look as cranky and sleep-deprived as I feel! Last night I was chatting on a forum I visit occasionally. One person, who lives in the same city as me, wrote "It's so hot that even the dog needs her own fan tonight."
