Come on... I have a new camera with a great macro setting AND a dedicated foliage setting. What made you think you weren't going to get photos of the vegetable garden?

Wow. They look so good. You should invite us all down to eat them before the possum comes back!
Good to see you're enjoying that camera.
I've been given a tip about the possums - apparently putting Dencorub (or was it Vaporub?) around the edge of the garden and the edge of the pots - basically anywhere their little paws might land - keeps them away, and eventually they learn not to come back to the stinky garden. I had another tip to make a chilli/garlic concoction to spray on the plants, but it seems to me the only way the possums could work out the chilli and garlic is nasty is to have a nibble on the plant. I don't like it when they eat a whole tomato but I wouldn't be keen on a half-chewed and discarded tomato either.
And sure, come down any time! (But leave the LBD behind... you know how I feel about dogs, even the LBD variety.) :)
your veges look great. and that new camera of yours rocks!
I really like these posts of yours about vegetables - they inspire me to try harder to keep my herbs alive.
We've had a grasshopper plague and my veggies have skeleton leaves. It's all very sad.
@Crazy Sister - want me to take some more pics of my veges from a different angle? Then I can send them to you and you can pretend they're yours. No one would know...
Ugh. Grasshoppers. Unpleasantly biblical.
You certainly have a green thumb! Great job. Sorry to hear about the pesky possums.
You know the LBD would chase the possums away. He'd make a lot of noise doing it, but they would go!
Seriously, I would never put anyone I knew was afraid of dogs in any situation where the LBD had access to them. I know he's harmless, but fear is a very real thing and it would be stupid and disrespectful to put someone in that position. I promise that if you ever came to visit there would be a sliding door or fence between you and the LBD at all times.
