Part of the fallout from all of this is massively increased anxiety. I've had a number of middle-of-the-night anxiety episodes of the heart-thumping, buzzing-with-adrenaline variety and they are not fun. They're not up to my level 10 yet (on a 1-10 scale) but they're certainly higher than normal and as a consequence I'm sleep deprived and I feel sick most of the time.
So here's where the cruel joke starts. Do you know what helps with anxiety? I mean really helps with it? Exercise. Not just any exercise, but exercise vigorous enough to increase the heart rate significantly. And I have to ask... why couldn't it have been chocolate? Or lying in a hammock? Or sitting on the beach?
Exercise. Honestly. Whose idea was that?

Oh that IS a cruel joke isn't it! Chocolate, lying in a hammock & chillin' on the beach seem so much nicer.
*hugs*
yeah - or even a nice glass of wine - why couldn't that be the recommended helper?
I know. It's cruel, hey? I always found I was too trembly and weak to exercise much in the Panic Attack Days. And I usually hadn't kept food (or sometimes water) down for days on end (don't know how I kept on living! God's grace I think!) so I was worried I'd collapse while exercising.
Sitting in the sun for a few minutes was nice though.
Actually, there are so many things that exercise is supposed to cure that I personally think it's a HUGE conspiracy by gym junkies to try to make us all follow their lead.
My personal favourite would be staying in bed on a rainy Saturday reading a good book.
... or the chocolate.

I see no reason why I couldn't do both...
Just sending some hugs and also stopping by to say you're really very funny!
