Dear Givinya...

...are you calling me a liar?? Kidding! See? Smiley face! :) But because you wanted proof...

Firstly, to show that it's just a normal fridge/freezer:

And here's the inside:

Same, but with things moved around to show the containers:

Remember, when I say I have three serves of soup, I'm talking about three serves for one person, for one meal. I could eat out of my freezer for a month. You (and your family) could only eat out of it for a week.

Okay, so now you have proved that you are not only a freakishly neat person, but that you are also freakish in your need to move things about to prove you point. (but an incredibly FUNNY freakish person)

See, I don't consider "freakishly neat" to be an insult. I'm flattered. In this instance, however, it's only freakishly neat because I pulled everything out to work out exactly what the heck I had in there.

The front of my fridge is considerably less neat.

Oh wow, thanks! A post for me! I see now how it all works. I've got myself a pretty big fridge/freezer, but I don't think I could squeeze in what you've put in there - but you're right - for me a "serve" is a fair bit bigger. Maybe therein lies the volumetric discrepancies.

That's amazing. My tiny freezer is filled with bags of frozen onion slices. Once or twice a year I buy a few kilos of onions, take them outside with the food processor and a long extension cord, put swimming goggles on, process them into neat slices and bag them tightly. I HATE onion induced tears, and this method avoids that. Ha ha ha.

You'd like to get into Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum" series? Looking at the sad list of your favourite books in your profile, I really think you could use some comedy! www.evanovich.com will give you a list of them all, and they're bound to be at your library. There are heaps on ebay. You don't even need to read them in order! Every book stands alone.

Sad list?? The Jasper Fforde books are hilarious... although admittedly in a geeky way. I read other stuff too but I can never remember anything I like when compelled to complete a list like that. This is why I will never go on a quiz show. "What's your name?" "Ummm... oh darn, I knew it this morning... just give me a minute... can I buy a vowel?"
